Feedlinx does email

Feedlinx has been updated to allow you to have posts sent to your email address. The big difference with this service is that the emailed posts will be marked "read" and you'll see the status change when you go back to your feed reader. So your posts will have their "read" status updated across machines, feed readers, and now email!

Not Bad. It's so small in size

The tool is of good use if you are a casual feed reader. The plus point is that its only a few kb in size. If you are a serious feed reader go for some high tech readers, but for causual catching up with feeds it is good.

Was Bidera Auctions the first to offer RSS listings by category

Welcome to the club eBay.

Naturally I am a bit biased here..

That said, Bidera auctions ( www.bidera.com ) has offered full category and subcategory RSS feeds for all of their auctions since middle of last year(June of 2004).

In fact, I believe Bidera was the first to do so a few other smaller players followed thereafter. Who would have any info which of general purpose auction website which offered RSS for actual auction listings before Bidera, I would love to know.

Still, why did it take so long for eBay to follow suit?

Kind of puzzled, but still satisfied that Bidera was right to innovate.

Gritwire gets it done

I've been using Gritwire for a little while now and its by far the clearest and most intuitive RSS agregator of those I've tried. My main use is to sort through the tons of feeds on archaeology and archaeological news so that I get what I'm interested in first, then check out the rest. Plus, I run a website and yahoogroup on the research of the ancient city of Pompeii. Some of my group members now get the yahoo posts via RSS and they're running Gritwire too.

I recommend checking it out.
