NewsPiper is an RSS/Atom/HTML newsreader and news/stock ticker in one environment. It scans your favorite news sites or RSS newsfeeds, retrieves the news, and shows it in a usual three-pane newsreader interface (channels, news titles, and news details) and in a news-ticker bar placed at the top of your desktop. Adding a new channel is very easy: you can manually enter the URL of the Web site or RSS feed, drag and drop it from the Web browser or another program, or simply paste it from the clipboard. You also can add channels from the online channel catalog, which contain many popular Web sites and RSS feeds. Another useful feature of NewsPiper is its ability to speak: it can pronounce news headlines and details, and can be used as a radio tuner for RSS news feeds or Web sites.
